Ok, yeah- I keep forgetting to check this thing, because you guys update so infrequently that I'm inspired to ignore it for long periods of time. Plus, I'm so busy keeping up with e-mails with mother, and checking my facebook and myspace and xanga and all that. I constantly have lots to do online.
Ok, so let's see here- mom can probably give you plenty of info if you talk to her, because I e-mail her pretty much daily out here, but in general, I'm awesome. I don't know if you guys wanted more information than that. The food is astoundingly good, actually. Decent variety, but lots of flavor and nutrients. It's too bad I'm on the 10-meal/week plan. I deal with that by eating one meal per day for the first half of the week. One week, I ran out of meals on Friday at lunch, but the lady still let me eat lunch.
Classes are pretty good- I love my political science class. The professor is also my advisor, and I think he might be mormon... his wife is from a small potato farming community in Idaho and has 10 siblings. And he has lots of stories of traveling overseas- I wonder if one of them might be taken from his mission... and he tells pretty corny jokes at 8:30am. All of these things can indicate mormonism. Oh, and he has a master's in Japaneese from BYU, and rather proudly told me that BYU has one of the best language programs in the US. I mentioned that my older brother recently graduated from BYU with a degree in Computer Science. Anyway, he's an awesome guy and I'm really pleased that he's my advisor.
On that same note, I declared a major in political science, and I'm looking to declare my second major in either History or Philosophy. I'm also declared in the Pre-Law program, because I have so much flavor.
I took a practice LSAT the day after my birthday, and I was really, really tired (I literally had not slept that night, owing to great celebration, primarily in the form of movies). So tired, in fact, that I just flat out refused to read two of the passages on the reading comphrehension/analysis section. I just sat there and stared at the page after deciding I didn't want to read anything right then. I still scored pretty decently, actually. The logic problems section was quite difficult, though. I still owned the argument analysis section in a big way. I was pleased about that.
Let's see... what else have we got... um, my friends refer to my roomate at "Drunky", because he frequently dissapears for extended periods of time to go visit his friends at a fraternity and shows back up at 5 or 6am and just passes out in his bed, which I respect on multiple levels. But we get along ok, even though he gives me some degree of distain for the amount of sleeping I do. He asked me yesterday if I did crack, because only people who smoke crack sleep as much as I do. Apparently, it's not common in Kansas to sleep for 12-14 hours, or to nap in the afternoon for 7 or 8 hours, because everyone seems to find it really out of place that I do it. I don't have a whole lot else to do, though, so I don't feel bad about it. I strategically arranged for my classes to be close together just so I could go to class and then sleep extensively. Once again, I reiterate that I'm awesome.
Institute and Church meet in a little building just off campus that I can literally see from my window, just across the parking lot and the street. We actually only have a BRANCH here, which is something I thought didn't actually exist except in myth and/or theory. It's weird for church to be so small, but the people are really great.
Um, ok I think I pretty much covered everything. Blogspot doesn't make it as convient to check comments while making a post as other blogs do, unfortunately, so if you want more information e-mail me or post another comment, and I'll just respond with other comments on your guys' site, or somethin'.
I think there was something about substances, so, I'll just add that I get high all the time. For good measure.
Oh, and I play airsoft out here, which is LOADS of fun. It's game about shooting people- John, conduct some research on this matter and then speak to me concerning it. For behold, it is excellent to shoot other people on the weekend.

If he got his degree at BYU, there's a 99% chance he's Mormon. I remember my 10 meal / week plan. Actually, I got 3 meals a day, I think, because Dad loves me more. Or at least, he still had a job when I was in college. I'm impressed you did so well on the LSAT; I couldn't have done that well even after a good night's sleep. Jenn knows about the 'branch' concept of theoretical theology, having attended such constructs in Maryland and Honduras. I think I attended a branch in Fiji. You were there too, but very small. Airsoft sounds kinda wussy; neither 'air' nor 'soft' connote manly sports. If you were using real bullets, then you'd be on to something. Speaking of which, how do you handle conversations in which your high school might be revealed? I usually say I went to Chatfield, which isn't entirely a lie because we did go to Chatfield for the last month of school.
